I have heard that new tacomas have a locking rear and was wanting to know more what year did the start puting that in and does it come with all new trucks regardles of model and is it an air or electronic locker.

Most of the TRD versions have an E-locker for the rear axle.These started around 98 and up.Unless it's a TRD they come with open difs.

Isn't there also a TRD sport or something like that that just has the shocks and some other stuff but not the locker?
