so thats ^^ my project and i have a few questions. will new 4runner seats fit in mine? and for the engine. i have the 3.0 v6 but i've heard nothing but horror stories about it. it is currently not running because the timing belt broke sending pistons into valves so i bought the truck cheap with the intent to rebuild the engine and have a good 4x4 but should i just keep the engine or should i swap in a 22re? im kinda on a budget and i would rather just keep what i got but if im just gonna be paying for it later then i might wanna change it right? thanks for the reply in advance

the 3VZE is a NON interferance engine meaning the valves and pistons will NOT touch. change your timing belt and you should be good. this would also be a good time to change your thermostat and water pump if needed.

A motor needs 3 things to run. Air, fuel and a spark. Check those. While you are checking things, make sure the timing is on and check the oil.

just so you know: it is an SR5 v6 fully loaded with power windows and locks rear heat sport seats etc. the only thing it doesn't have that i wish it did was the inclometer. here are some pics of the stripped interior. final pic is of the back end which i coated with bedliner then painted grey to match interior. i the interior i replaced most of the dash. as you could see it was pretty messed up. i cleaned the seats and carpet like there was no tomorrow :shootme: . lol and i used interior paint to brighten up some of the panels. anyway. time to move to the engine. i worked on taking it out to see whats up with it. sorry not many pics on that because i just got into it and didn't mess with taking any pics. Image Hostingthe reason the truck was so cheap Image Hostingthere is the final result. the result is that i have to replace the engine. the pistons are all chewed up, the bearings looked like someone took a grinder to them and the crank shaft was a b*t*h to get out of the block because one rod was basically "welded" to it. not fun

so i should be getting a new engine that is currently in a running truck (so i know its good) but in the mean time i got a good set of wheels and tires and a new top. i don't know what brand the wheels are but they are 15"x8" and the tires are procomp x-terrains 31/10.50/15 which have about half tread left. the top is almost perfect. the L-trim pieces don't have any rust and the top isn't faded. i got the top for $125 and the wheels and tires for $200. boy i love craigslist.
