I found a solid front axle for my 86 Runner. The guy says it has 3.90 gears and it out of a 82. He also said that he has a third out of the rear of of a 86 to match my 4.10 rear. He is not sure if it will fit. Will the rear third of a 86 fit the front axle of a 82?

Yes.
Solid axle trucks use the same 8" diff front and rear.
IFS trucks have the 8" rear but a 7.5" front.

Thanks man. I will go and get the axle this weekend. One step closer to my sas. Im just saving the money to buy the marlin crawler sas kit.
