Just wondering if anyone had a extra rear window relay. The one in the gray box that goes just behind the driver. I'm sure mine took a dump being it's a little rusty on the inside. the relay clicks where you unplug it and replug it in but the window does not work from the switch or the key switch. Thanks! Mud!

Get a test light or multimeter and check if you are getting power at the motor. Sounds like the relay is working, though the coil can be functional still when the contacts are burned out i would verify it.

I will see if i'm getting power to the motor. being the relay does not even click when you push the switches I don't think it's even getting power back to the motor. this thing has given me trouble in the past and just started working for about three months and now back to trouble shooting it! oboy! thanks sean! later! mud!

If the relay aint clicking then fair to say its not changing states. A test light is like 3 bucks and worth every cent for this kind of trouble shooting. If i had to guess without seeing it, i am going to say the problem is your switch itself. That is where i would start my trouble shooting.

Thanks Sean! I went ahead and pulled one of repair books out and took the time to read out the switch and well thats all I had to do! the switch is bad on the console. it's weird I unpluged the switch on the console and the window works from the key switch on the tail gate!
Anyone have a spare back window console switch for A 85-88 4-Runner! LOL! Thanks MUD!
