My motor goes vrrrm vrrm vrrm vrrm vrrm vrrm vrrm vrrm vrrm vrrm at most red lights and stop signs. I haven't kept up with the money I have spent trying to fix my idle problem. I started a couple years ago. It only does it when it is about half warm most of the time but also does it at operating temp. I had a problem with it and thought I had a vacuum leak. Then my motor locked up. Replaced it with a used motor. Same problem.... then the used motor threw a rod through both sides of block....Now have a new long block. All new parts except throttle body....Same problem. Thought it was my brake booster but have since eliminated that. Taken truck to numerous so called specialist. Claimed to have fixed the problem. I have personally went through all the books and replaced all sensors and valves. All have been replaced except the MAS. I guess thats next. I'm just wondering if this is a normal 22re problem.

Mine does the same thing. If I rev it up it idles normal for a while. Seems like it only does it when doing a lot of stop and go driving around town. My TPS is adjusted properly, havnt really messed with it much, its been doing it for a few years. I have to keep the idle at around 800-900 rpm. If I try to go below that it idles roungh. I have no vacuum leaks, I have cleaned the throttle body plate etc. tried sea foam.
