While not a very detailed reply, I guess it does answer the question.
With a 2wd Taco, I don't know if you will have a clearance issue with your spindle hitting the coil spring when the front end droops like I do. If it doesn't, you have a horde of choices from spacers, to leveling kits, to better coilovers, to crazy longer arm long travel kits. The rear is probably the same as my 01 4x4. You will have to consider leaf spring options, longer travel shocks, longer shackles, extended brake lines, drive shaft realignment etc... The list could take up several pages of the things you should consider based on the end product you want when it's all said and done. I spent a little over $400 on spacers, and a 2" body lift from 4Crawler. I got some longer shackles from a friend for free, good for 1 1/2 inches in the rear. I slipped some 33 1250 swampers on some pro comp rims and I now have an extremely mean looking Taco. However, the spindles DO hit the shocks when the front end droops even on the road, the rear shocks have to be replaced because they have about an inch of droop in them, and the back end is slightly lower than the front which is completely unacceptable to me. I am expecting to throw at least another $3000 into my suspension before I consider it to be even slightly off-roadable. You get what you pay for, and should only pay for what you truely need based on what you want.
Peace!
