I've got a '93 Toyota Pickup w/22RE. I'm tuning up a truck that has a stock engine (though the body isn't stock). at this point I can hear the ignition on my CB, it also runs a bit rough when it's wet out.
So for the question. Since I'm already replacing I want to upgrade. Does anyone know if I can use a '92 distributor cap? because it looks like it would allow me to use more stock wires instead of the '93 which has what seems to be a miniturized female connector.

You can use any of the older year caps so you don't have use the ( miniturized ) female connector style wires!

Thanks. I did it last night and it works great. I put in an Accel Super Stock coil, with MSD Street Fire wires (500 Ohms/ft) and bosch platinum plugs. Since the style of the coils was different it took a little bit of modification to get the igniter connected, but really it worked out pretty easy. Runs better on the freeway and got rid of a couple of flat spots in the power curve.
