im from new york, its hard to get a rust free 86-89 4runner,but i did find a mint that an old lady drove only locally, but the 3.0 v6 threw a rod out of the side of the block,so the 6 is out but i left the v-6 auto tranny.i also have a good running 94 4x4 pickup with a shot frame with a 22rw/trans&transfer.would it be a direct bolt in,or will there be alot of cutting and welding?.is there a clutchpedal knockout under the dash of the auto 4runner?has anyone done this successfully,i dont rebuild the 6 because my block is SHOT,as are the heads!!and this motor here in NY from a junkyard fetches a high price!

The engine mounts are different so you'd have to change them. You might have to move the t-case cross-member. The 3 holes to mount the clutch MC are marked, you just have to drill, IIRC. The mounting points for the clutch pedal assy should be there, again IIRC. (If I was home I could walk outside and check, my 89 is an auto.)
