I just bought a solid front axle for a swap into my 88 truck. I've seen pics in mags with axles that have been fully trussed and gussetted, but am not sure exactly what that is or what the benefits are. Could someone give me a quick lesson? Thanks

Thanks Gussette's and truss' add strength to the axle housing to help prevent twisting and bending the axle tubes. This can be made with plate steel or you can buy pre-fabbed parts and weld them in place.
