i took my 4runner in for a good 'ol inspection and in the alignment section there is an extra $50 for "euroclamps". can anyone tell me what these are or if i can get some on my own. after i fix my idler arm and steering stabilizer cylinder i will need this alignment and think it's best to go to a pro, but i want to make sure it's legit.

Man, never heard of that, but considering it's a Japanese truck it sounds like a BS rip-off.
And what with the idler arm are you having fixed?? there is a TSB out to fix related parts and align the front end under warranty. Check it out before you get screwed.

TSB? not sure what that is, but with the work i've done to it (lift kit, bigger tires, etc. ) i doubt anything will be covered under warranty. the estimate i got included many things, and "remove and replace idler arm"was one of the items. idler arm assembly ($190). and i see that euroclamps are used on 17"or larger, and/or specialty rims. mine are only 15"x10"'s. not sure how any kind of clamps help with alignment.

well i found out what they are. it's a machine that can wrap around the tire without clamping on the rims and do the aligning that way so no damage is done to the rims. I think for an extra $50 i'll just hang rocks from one side of my steering whell to keep it going straight.

You can rebuild your idler arm yourself for next to nothing in parts.
