a few months ago I bought an 88 4runner for my first car (only 1900$, no frame rot or malfunctioning parts besides the starter that I can see) Got to say I love it! It's 5 speed manual (which I had to learn to drive, talk about frustration your first time haha), fully working 4 wheel drive, came with 33 inch tires with a pretty good tread left on them, and from what I can tell a 3 or 4 inch lift. I absolutely love this truck because it runs really well and has an amazingly unique look with the top on the back being able to come off. I'm probably not going to do many modifications, just enough to do some light 4wheeling with my friends. Which they all think its the coolest truck they've ever seen haha.
