I have a 86 22r that i just put in and it starts great when cold but will not start when hot. Also the motor I took out did the same thing. Can anyone help me please.

Can't think of anything right off that would be causing this other then the distributor module might be heating up. The bad part is that there is no way to test it other then to replace it.
Have you tried doing a search? I think I recall this subject being discussed once before.

a couple of people told me that it might be vapor locking. I don't know if this is the case but I'll try to move the line away from the motor. If it aint that what module do you mean? Is it the one in the distributor or the igniter? Because i just put a different igniter on and its still doing the same thing. But i didn't change the pickup module in the dist. Thanks again for the help.

Vapor lock could be your problem too. That would be an easier and cheaper fix. Hope that is/was it.
And yes the pickup module in the distributor.

I found the problem, It was the pickup module in the dist. I found a extra one and put it in and the motor starts right up cold or hot. Thanks for the help.

Glad you got it fix and that you had an extra module For something that can't be tested, they ain't cheap to replace.
