2001 Tacoma, 4x4, auto tranny, 3.4 v6, 250K+ miles, fairly stock.
Having trouble getting it to start. there were no tell tale signs of anything going wrong till i parked to run into a buddys house and it would not start. the check engine light is not on. it seems like its not getting fuel, so i changed the fuel filter. there was plenty of gas in the lines and filter whne i pulled it, so would that rule out the fuel pump?
TPS, plugs, wires, timing chain, starter and battery were all changed about 5-10k ago.
any ideas? This has been a great lil truck at 250,000+ miles it seems like everything is breaking down at once LOL.
Update: Replaced the Fuel pump today, and still wont start. there was a wire on the pump in the tank that looked to be shorted out at the connector, but was still hanging on. tested both the old and new pumps directly to the battery and the are working right. when i hook it to the harness it seems like the pump/s would not work. Is there a relay/fuse that the pump runs off of that im not seeing on the block or in the cab?
