Ok so i have a 95 runner. It has the v6, i have put a cold air intake on it and a strait flow throw exhaust with a flow master 44. It has a 4'' lift and i have 33x12.50 on it. When im in town it runs great but when i get out on the highway i have to leave it out of overdrive to get it to do the speed limit. Is there something im missing?????

Ring and pinion gears? I am doing the speed limit in 5th w/35's, 5.29's, a cheap home made Pacesetter/Thrush exhaust, and a 22r. Nobody's ever said the 3.slow was a power house but something's up if you aren't doing better than me.

A clogged cat conv, if you still have it, could do that.

I had to do that to my cat conv, because it was so clogged it was strangling the engine. And it still passes the emissions test.

Try compression testing the motor.

I agree, those engines are NOTORIOUS for blowing head gaskets. A crying shame really since they are found in all kinds of really cool 4x4 Yotas.
