Just swapped out for a new 22re in my 86 forerunner. It ran fine for about a month and has now devoloped a skip just above idle. I've checked the timing and all the plugs and wires are tight. This is my first Toyota built and I'm new to the whole fuel injection thing to. Any advice would be a great help.

it turned out to have a crack in the intake duct that runs to the injection. it was up underneath so i couldnt see it. the guy who found it just happen to put his elbow on it looking around under the hood.
