Hey guys I own a 1987 toyota pickup. i recently did a sas and put 4.88 gears. I am running 33" tires as of now but its time for a new set. i would like a little more clearence so i was thinking of getting 35" tires. is that going to make my truck slower. As of now on the freeway i im in fifth gear at 3500 RPMs. If anyone can help it would be nice.

35 inch tires should lower your rpm's from 3500 to (anyone know the exact figure?)
the idea is that 35 inch tires are taller than 33 inch tires (less revolutions per mile...) so less rpm's at highway speeds.
if you're asking about your truck accelerating slower, the answer is yes. how much? dunno, I doubt it'll be a problem with 4.88 gears though.
