Hey all, I am newer here and posted something a couple days ago. I am making a seperate post to just request help in identifying my engine and transmission. I do not believe it is stock. I have looked around on the net and am not finding any conclusive answers and since ya'll are the Yota experienced I figured I would ask here as I am guessing seeing a picture would make it easy to decipher for an experienced Toy owner as opposed to a newbie like myself. I will add pics to my other post for clarification on that issue. Thanks in advance! The truck is a 1989 2wd pickup single cab, it has a 5 speed and I am pretty sure its a 22R engine, at least thats what the prior owner told me. Can I get a confirmation on the engine / tranny model? If different pics are needed let me know. Any ideas will be of great help! thank you much! engine shots front of engine from passenger side oil pan shots Transmission from passenger side directly under some unit on side of tranny on passenger side (what is this?) Tail section of tranny from driver's side Front section of tranny from driver's side [edit] Turned links into images. DP

The engine is a 22R. On the front of the valve cover there's a sticker there that got painted over. If you can remove the paint and the sticker isn't worn out, it should say 22R on it.
The trans is very dirty ;D Not fully sure on what it is or what was stock in the 2WD's, but here's a couple pics you might be able to verify it with.
W55
R150
directly under some unit on side of tranny on passenger side (what is this?) That is a called a slave cylinder. It operates the clutch arm to the pressure plate to engage and disengage the clutch. It is also where you would bleed the clutch fluid at.
