Headlight Issue Please Help!

Hello,

Havent been on here in a loooooong time, but i need some help and i thought i might be able to find the answer here.

I just picked up an 874runner and its got a little headlight problem. THe low beams work fine. but when i flick on the high beams, the lights just dim. anythoughts on this one? Im not good with electronics.

It might be the switch itself or possably the relay.I would swap out the relay first.Also check all the wiring for damage.

where would I find said relay? IS it under the hood on the pass fender? if so which one is it, the cover dosent have any writing on it. Thanks.

Yeah it's in the engine compartment in the main fuse block.I have the same truck a year younger and many miles younger(114k).The relay you need to check is the one closest to the firewall it should be black and square.The possible part number(s) 90982-04002 / 90982-02006 or 90982-01003
