Hello, I have a '85 p/u with a 22re, auto tranny, running 33's with 5.29's and I just installed a flowmaster exhaust st8 pipe. I was wondering if there where any ideas to get more power out of the 22re. Thanks  |

Some headwork, a mild cam.
Check out engnbldr.com - good parts and prices
Also LC Engineering and DOA Racing, but a little more $.

slap a turbo on the bitch hahah jk unless you want i have to agree with fourwd1 i put a grand into my head got a stage 2 trd cam ( cost less than a stock cam does) i'm bored over, ported intake also cold air intake kit is nice to will give you some hp gain not much but worth it i think. good luck to ya man make her scream like a demon

I have a 1986 22-ret and am in the proccess of rebuilding the block. Soon i will be sending off 1500$ to toyota for a rebuild kit for the turbo. Do I have any other options out there as far as turbos that will work for this engine?
