Im dropping my engine 93 toyota 22re into a 91 p/u chassis. I also need to put me 93 gauge cluster into the 91, but they are different clusters. My 93 has oil pressure, temp, altimeter, fuel, tach and speedo. The 91 only has speedo, temp, and fuel.
Can i hook up my 93' gauges to the 91' without doing wiring work for the extra guages?

IIRC, it will fit right in, BUT, you also need to swap the oil pressure sending units. If you don't, the sending unit for the idiot light will fry the gauge.

The 1993 pickup has the electronic speedo. You may want to consider using the 1991 cluster - change the temp sending unit on the engine - And go with a aftermarket positive pressure oil gauge and a aftermarket tach. IF you do make the cluster swap - YOU MAY ALSO have computer issues.

You may also want to consider matching things like the - emission system ie -o2 sensor - air flow meter - knock sensor ect -with the 91 p/u chassis and computer,if nothing else, do some research and make sure the sensors on the 93 engine will interchange with the 91engine. The main goal when your finished - you want a nice running vehicle without having issues like the check engine light on and false readings or engine codes that are hext to impossible to figure out or gauges that give false readings

there will be NO computer issues. things you need to worry about:
- electronic/manual speedo - oil sending unit (either guage or idiot light) - tachometer (can be set up for 4 or 6 cyl)
there used to be a link on this swap. its very easy. if i find the link ill post it.

SOME 1990 -1991 -computers will interchange AND SOME 1992- 1995 computers will interchange - depending on the date and year of mfg. - So there is where you COULD POSSIBLY have computer issues. Where the truck was made also makes a difference in what computer was used. Some examples would be - Federal - Canada and California -Emission control systems SOME of the California vehicles used TWO oxygen sensors. I did an engine swap and a build up on a 1993 and it took many phone calls and trips to the Toyota dealer to get the CHECK ENGINE light to go off. not trying to be negative, and I wish you the best of luck, just trying to present some information and the mistakes I made through my own fault and carelessness for not checking things out before I made the swap.
