i lost a rod bearing and killed the short block on my carbd 22r, i was given a 93 FI engine that has a bad head gasket or head, bottom end is solid(i know the owner). can i just drop my carbd head and intake on it ?

From 85 on, the 22R and RE (EFI) use the same head and block, so yes.

cool, so i could swap the EFI over with a wiring harness and computer as well?

There's a little more to it, but yes. Search around, there's plenty of info on carb to EFI conversions.

yeah, the worst part is that my 22r puked 3 hours after passing emisions

got my engine, it did blow the head gasket. a little rust in the cylinders but its nothing a hone wont clean up
