Hello People, Looking for some mechanical advice here. Since i pulled my 4Runner from this puddle ive: replaced the starter, fuel filter, gas, oil, spark plugs, dried the air filter, and drained the exhaust. The problem is it barely idles on its own, just chugging. when i give it gas it sounds good up to about 2500 RPMs, anymore than that and it loses power and the RPMs start to dive. ive not taken it on the road yet. one person told me it had something to do with water in the electrical for the fuel injection sys, but idk, im pretty new to this stuff. This is a 95, V6, Automatic. any help would be appreciated. Thanks, James Attachments:

check the mass air flow sensor- may have some contaniments on the sensor. try to clean it off with a little intake cleaner and dry with regulated shop air or let air dry then give it a try.

Check to see if any error codes have been stored in the ECM. That might give you a starting point.
