What are you getting for mileage? The window sticker EPA rating is -19 mpg. city - 22 mpg. highway with an average of 20 mpg. The new rating gives it a - 17 mpg. city - 20 mpg. highway with an average of 18 mpg. With today's gasoline with ethanol and lower octane the little you gain by trying different things you loose because of a poor grade of fuel. The best thing to do is keep the engine tuned up - proper air pressure etc,

I fully second the keep it tuned up. I have an 87 with a 22r(e). A couple summers ago when gas was expensive I averaged 23 to 24 mpg all summer. I had 28" highway tires properly inflated, ran injector cleaner a couple times, had an airgate, and probably the biggest factor is I rarely drove above 60 mph. And the usual, easy starts from a stop and all that.
