Chevy Full Widths on a Tacoma 3.4L

I am considering selling off my 86 4runner and getting a 2001 Tacoma. I already have a chevy D60 and corp. 14 rear. I know that the front differental housing is on the driver side in that tacoma but I was hoping there is a way to modify it to take chevy axles. Any advice would be appreciated or websites for parts or projects with a chevy swap. Thanks

Take a look at Marlin Crawler, Inch Worm, and Advance Adapters. One of them may have the converision you need.

Have the tubes swapped.

i have full a with dodge dana 44 and ford 9 inch under my 85 toyota, one thing i found is that there are adapter flanges for them so your drive line will bolt up to it. i fond the toyota flange for the 9inch after i payed 300 to mod my drive line. i will get the one for the dayna44-toy flange for 100. i thought that chev pumpkin was on the correct side for toyota?
the only problem i had doing the front was i had to go wider with the springs but if you go leaf spring you gotta do some adapting any way, get the front leaf spring mount kit cut it in half and add on to it to match the with of the springs on the axle. get the weld on shackel mounts and weld them in place on the bottom of the frame. you mite meed to add some plate back there to get the with you need unless your frame is wider then mine. OR OR even better!! go 4 link in front it will not be much more fab to do and waaay worth the time. the back was nothing to do i just welded on new pads and bolted them up.

Tacoma's have a driver's side drop.I went with a '79 ford Dana 60 for my swap plus it's also a hi-pinion.The more common swap is for a Dana 44.But since he already has the Chevy 60 I would do as already posted and have the tubes swapped over or sell it and get one that has the correct drop.
