I own a 1980 toyota pickup 4x4..specs..Trans L43, 20R,133.6 cu.in., Vin. RN47034994. My trany just broke on me and my buddy has a trany from a 1984 22R Toyota pickup. Im wondering if anyone knows if it will bolt up to my 80' toy or if they have a adapter for it?

The trans should bolt up to the motor, but you'll have to swap the t-case as well. The 84's trans is about 5" longer, so you'll have to relocate the crossmember, and make new holes in the tunnel for the new shifters. The bolt patterns on the t-case output flanges are also different. You can get new multi-pattern flanges or drill the new pattern in the old ones..
