hey everyone i am new to this site, i have a 95 4runner, nice little truck been acting up latly i have had to do the tranny , transfer case and this weekend i just did the timing belt and water pump.
everything was good for a few days untill my truck started lossing power at random times, i have heard it could be my rad is old and possibly clogged, when i took the rad out i did notice it was a little haggered,, and i notice that when the power loss does occur it seems the heat goes up a wee bit, not 100 % sure but i wanna say rad. it is a big power loss when this does happen..
if somebody knows something , or this has happend to them please lemme know !!
thanks alot, kyle.

Welcome to TOR. Do you have the 4 cyl or 6 cyl? auto or manual trans? Have you checked to see if any error codes have been generated? It's a fairly simple DIY thing, the how-to details can be found if you search the web, I don't have them handy or I'd post them.

My truck did something similar but my engine temp wasn't changing. My problem turned out to be a clogged cat converter.Another thought would be the TPS(throttle position sensor)I would randomly would lose power and as it got worse the truck would shut down then it wouldn't run at all.
