Im in the process of putting in a new motor, jasper engines, the come with a 3 yr. 100,000 mile warranty so hopefully its a good engine. My question is which set of headers should i go with? Ive read alot about the pacesetter, but i found a set of obx. The obx are a good bit cheaper but i dont want to have problems installing them or later with them leaking. Does anyone have or know someone thats has a set of the obx's or should i jus go with the pacesetters? Thanks for the help. Tyler

I don't know much about OBX headers, but I checked their website and they look well constructed. A friend has a Pacesetter on this 84, it had a mild fitment issue at the frame.

Thanks! Yea i did some more research and it seems a couple people had problems with the pacesetters in fitment or paint peeling and them rusting. The obx are stainless and as long as the flange is straight i think ill be good.

Got the obx headers in and ma mechanic put em on. They havent cranked the motor yet, waitin on starter to come in and that lil pipe that has the egt valve?? off the base of the header, it broke and the dang thing cost $150. But the real problem i have is with the o2 sensor, it dont fit. Its too big, it wont even go in the hole. Ive researched it and others have had this problem but im not sure how they solved it. Id jus buy another sensor but im scared it wont fit either. I think im gonna run to advanced or oreileys and see if they have different sizes or options. If anyone has any info on this id appreciate it.

There should be enough material there that you should be able to bore it out with a drill......? Just make sure that you replace the gasket.

Well i found an obx brand sensor online so i got it. I messaged them and asked them about it and they said it would fit. If not i guess ill pull it off n bore it a little.
