Just started driving and was gifted, for my birthday, with a '93 4Runner V6. Not sure about specs. Anyone now how to get them? HP, BHP, liters? Haven't started of!f-roading, but would LOVE to. Any tips for a beginner or even better, know of a guide for what tires to choose and what lift and breaks down the technecalities of trannies and suspension? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to TOR I don't know the exact HP off hand, somewhere around 150 comes to mind but don't quote me. The 93 V6 is 3.0 Liters. You should be able to find the exact specs with a little googling. What tires and lift depends on a lot of things, what kind of wheeling you want to do, is it a full time wheeling rig or mainly a DD, etc, and of course how much $ do you want to throw in to it.

It will definintly be a DD, but I would like it to be able to go where I need it to...when I need to. You know?

I'm actually in the middle of writing up a artice "Beginer’s Guide To Building A Toyota 4x4" that gives all the basic about what can be done. Should be sumitted some time this month....?
SO where is it that you need to go? What kind of trails do you plan on taking? Easy, mild, or extreme rock crawling......mudding.....or a mall wheeler? ;D What you plan to use it for will depend on how you want to set it up or what order you might want to add parts in.

I don't know any trails around here, and I don't know anyone that wheels. (4x4, right?) It's humboldt county, though. We live in a redwood forest and on the coast, there has to be somewhere to ride! Mainly, I need to know performance parts and all that. Good shocks, good tires. My tires are little/stock. How much lift could I possibly get from putting 33x10.5 on there or something similar? Please, help. And.. I appreciate the help so far.
