Coming home from work today I heard a loud pop out of the rear end of my 4runner. Then i got the surprise of my life. The axle broke, and the wheel and tire decided to take a detour into the north bound lane of I-65. All the while I and the rest of the truck were sliding down the south bound lane. I've never seen an axle break right inside the hub like this one did. It did however pull itself onto the trailer once it was locked in. To top off my day the one NEW tire on the trailer blew trying to get it to the house. i guess this gives me the excuse to get started on that straight axle swap now.
