Does anyone know if swapping a 105 amp alt will also work on the 3.0 engine the same as the 22R. Asking for someone else and I don't deal with the 3.0 so I could answer him.
From what I remember the alts where pretty much the same, other then the connection was different (22R - round, 3.0 - rectangle) and the 3.0 used a serpentine belt

What exactly are you asking?
If the wiring is the same?
The connection should be the exact same. I think the wire colors are even the same. Will have to look. And then the pulley is different.

since you guys r on this subject, i have a 81 with 22r, i am doing a 105 amp alt swap, like i said in my post i understand the 1 wire to the battery, i am going with aftermarket voltmeter, the two prongs which is 1 and 2, i believe one of them is hooked back to the battery wire, i want to b sure how to hook the volt meter up, does anyone know
