Well apparently my 4x4 light does not work because I had my transfer case in 4h for a little while. My 85 is not my daily driver but on occasion I do take it to work which is a 40 mile drive each way up to 70MPH. Last night for some reason I realized my transfer case is in 4H but the hubs were not locked. This would explain why the front diff was spurting oil out the vent but now it looks like the transfer case is leaking where the front drive shaft enters. What kind of damage could I have caused by driving at 70MPH with 4H? the truck runs fine still but I think I damaged the seal where the front drive line enters. Kevin

While not the best thing to do, since the hubs were unlocked you're probably OK. The gear driven t-case is pretty indestructible.

I agree with fourwd1. You should be damage free other then the flange seal if it's leaking. A quick and easy fix.
