I saw this forum and figgered I should probably say hi. I am a motor junkie and enjoy building things with my hands. Im just as happy building a set of Dana 60s for a crawler as I am building a Chevy 454 for a drag rod.
Like I say, I enjoy building things. The satisfaction I get from creating something out of nothing drives to progress and try new things.
Other than being into motorsports, I am an avid hunter, fisherman, backpacker, and adventurer. I like being in the outdoors where man originated and where we truly belong. I've been fly fishing for over 15 years and fired my first firearm, a Mossberg 500 when I was 3.
When i was 20 and doing nothing with my life, I decided I wanted to join the US army. At the time, I was a big fat boy, weighing in at 420 lbs and sporting a 44" waist. Long story short, I was rejected because of a dumptruck accident when i was 18. In a time period of 4 months, I dropped from a 44" waist and 420 lbs to 315 lbs and a 34" waist. Since then, I have continued my workout routine, became a brown belt in American Kenpo, an Intermediate in Chinese Muay Thai, and a Semi Professional in Tibetan Saunga. I have more than perfected my aim with an 8.6 mm Lapua at 850 yards, a 5.56 shortened AR-15, and the good ol fashioned Ithaca 12 ga.
I tell this story everywhere because to date, it is my greatest accomplishment and personally, the US military doesn't know what its missing out on!
Oh, and my name is Scott.
