Alright so my name is kaleb, im a senior and I have a 2001 Toyota Rav4 AWD, now I know these are like the KJ's, compass's and patriots. (Not very desirable or cool) But I'm looking to add something to my Suv that will make it more capable for offroading. I think just easy trails would be perfect for the rav but I don't know that much about cars. So if you could please leave your input that would be great.

I don't know of much you can do to a RAV4, other than a slightly larger, aggressive tire.

Hi Kaleb.I'm new to toyotas and 4w driving. One thing i think i know is that the Rav4 is a soft roader not a capable 4wd. I have just picked up a 1990 toyota hilux surf. These things are a better option if you really want to 4wd. But good luck with your rav4 . By the way my mate used to have one and he says they are extremely thirsty cars, another thing to think about if you plan to go offroading.cheers K.T

Welcome Keleb! The truth is there's not much you can do to the rav4 unless it's custom fabed parts. If i was in your shoes I would find some good at/Mt tires and play as I could!! But saying this I would be looking for a truck or 4runner.
Not trying to get you down but it is what it is! Good luck!

Hey I'm new to the form as of today. I think all of you are being a bit critical on Keleb he is new to 4 wheeling let's welcome him not tell him he does'nt have the rite vehicle. My first off road vehicle was an old VW beetle that I cut the fenders off. Keleb my best advice to you is take it out and enjoy it learn it's capabilities and just have fun. Welcome to the world of off roaring.
