Hey everyone. Hope some Toyota pros out there can help me out here. I have a 99 4Runner SR5 V6 4WD. Out of the blue one day recently, it started loping like stroker motor in my mustang; and lost has lost at least half of its power. The only code is a 0300, random cylinder misfire. Now, let me be clear here. This is NOT the engine surging. RPMs remain constant, but it stumbles all over the place when you give it gas. As for the power, it feels like it's running on only half the cylinders. Merging on the interstate, it literally takes like a mile to get up to 75mph and can't pull itself up an uphill grade without slowing down to like 45. Now for a list of what's NOT wrong with its. The plugs, plug wires and all three coils are good. The fuel filter has about 10k on it. The MAF sensor, the oxygen sensors and catalytic converters are all fine. As a side note, it has 270,000 miles on it with, yes, the original timing belt.. Any suggestions here?!?! Could the timing belt have jumped, resulting in throwing the engine out of timing??? Someone PLEASE help me!!!

Have you checked all your vacuum line, or ur intake tubes and connection boot. I have same yr and motor and have run not across this issue. Have you looked through some other post to see if someone else has had the same issue. I will brain storm on this!
