Where u live at? How big do the fish get there? What kind of terrain is around the lake/resevoir? I wouldn't mind going fishing and wheeling all at the same time!!!

the lake is called lake davis. its in Portola California. the pike are pretty much gone now. they were eating the natural trout in the lake. someone put the fish in there so they could have a fighting fish and it almost killed off all the trout.

I was walleye fishin the other day on cedar lake in polk county wisconsin and we caught 7 walleyes all kinda small cept a nice chubby 17 incher. By the way this was ice fishing, i lowered down my underwater veiwing camera (aqua view) and turned it a little and saw a massive muskie! so i threw a large sucker minnow down and she took a good look at it turned around ran at it and then just left. i wish i woulda got her

Muskie are fun to catch, but nothing beats a good fight put up by a 15+ lb Norther Pike. Pike are actually more aggressive and get pissed off a little easier than Muskie, plus, they are easier to catch. They will eat anything that swims. Though they are smaller in size, a Pike will drive a Muskie out of any water.
I was fishing Fort Peck a few years back. I was watching a family swim around on a nearby beach (this is gonna sound like a Jaws story). A little girl got pulled under by an enormous Pike. She was alright and only got bitten on the foot and ankle. I could not believe it. I had never heard of a Pike attacking a Person. It was pretty awesome,

I do lots of fishing in my area. Walleye, pike, trout, smallmouth bass. I've got a float plane and my dad does as well so we do our own fly in fishing. One lake we go into all it has is walleye nothing else and they bite like there is no tomorrow. Its not uncommon to go in there and fish for 30 mins and catch 30 or more fish each. Bass will attack you as well if you go near their nest. My dad had one grab onto his hand one time when he was pulling out weeds. I was wondering how long it would take for people on here to start talking about fishing. And about the muskie on the ice you usually dont get them while ice fishing. sAme goes for bass. I've seen a bass caught through the ice but only once. I've got a picture of a good sized pike I'll post up that someone sent me in an email when I get it up on a server.

Yeah, i didnt the muskie would bite but my heart would have stoped if i saw it take my sucker. I fish a lake (bass lake) and it is kinda common to catch them through the ice there, although thats the only lake ive got bass ice fishing.

Lets not forget to talk about the ever famous "Walleye." They are the best tasting fish out there. They rank right up with Halibut and Alaskan Salmon.
They don't put up much of a fight (unlike a Pike) but they are damned good eating. Unfortunately down here in Wyoming we don't have to many opportunities for Walleye. The Game and Fish want to keep all the rivers and Lakes stalked with Wyomings only Natural Game fish: the Cutthroat Trout. Trout put up a good fight to and are an absolute Blast to Catch but just don't have the good flavor in the meat.
Wow, 30 Walleye in 30 min. Where the hell are you from? Heaven. Sounds like you got fishing, wheeling, probably hunting, hell, that is an absolute Badass lifestyle. I might have to come up there sometime and try fishing.

I live in Northwestern Ontario. Just north of the border. Yes I have fishing, wheeling, hunting, and flying too. And where I go we are the only people that fish that lake. Its a fly in lake and we are the only people who have flown a boat into it.

Man, I have always wanted to do a fly in hunting and fishing trip. Hell, I'd charter a cargo plane and I would have my rig flown up to do some wheeling to. My dad and I have always talked about doing a fly in fishing trip but it hasn't happened yet. We ended up going to Fort Peck a couple of years back instead.

I live on Rainy Lake and right across the highway from me is a place called Northern Wilderness Outfitters. They do fly in fishing and hunting trips. I've never been on one with them as I have my own plane but I know that the lakes they go to are excellent. I really dont believe that you could find better fishing anywhere. I'll post up a picture of my plane to show you what I play with when I'm not in my old beast. Its a two seater with 115 HP. My dads has 150. The engines are horizontally opposed 4 bangers. My dads displacement is 351 cu in. if I remember correctly. They sure perform getting out of small lakes where a Cessna cant go.

Been fishing the Platte pretty hard here in Casper for Walleye and Trout. Haven't caught shit. I have tried everything from natural freshwater shrimp up to green jigs and grubtails with a worm. Plus the river is really muddy right now so you pretty much have to use live bait.

Spinners have always produced well for me, for trout at least, Like mepps and rooster tails. For trout when the water is muddy like that i like to put a leaf worm on a size 10-12 hook with a small split shot and toss it under cover. Right now in wisconsin you can only fish trout with barbless hooks till may 6 i believe.

Went fishing below Glendo down on the river last night. Caught 2 Rainbow, 3 Brown, and 17 sick disgusting Carp. I tried spinners, caught a few trout but then they stopped biting on that so I tried nightcrawlers and caught a bunch of nasty ass Carp. Then I tried salmon eggs and really got into the big bastards. Caught a 4 lb and 5 lb Brown on the salmon eggs and a 4 lb Rainbow. It was a kick. Got to do some wheeling too.

That is the best, when you get to wheel to a fishin' hole! Carp are gross but they are a blast to catch with an altra light rod, even funner to shoot with a bow! ;D
