Hello everyone, i am a newbie here and I have just purchased my toyota. Its a 1980, it has 360000 Miles on the car, but about 30000 on the engine. It has a lift, im not sure how high, and 31s, i will have 33s on it in a week.
A few questions, this bed is really long, and write ups on cutting it? Also are there any sites where i can buy aftermarket parts for this year at? Like headers and stuff. Thank you

Welcome Nick. Glad to hear about your new truck. Well...not new but new to you. I like the old toyota body style and think they are great buildup trucks. Hope you found what your looking for in the links. Let us know if there is anything else...

Would you guys happen to know anywhere to buy many different aftermarket parts for this year? I have looked thru JCW and stuff like that but only can find stuff for mostly 84 and up but some 81 and up.

I guess I should have warned you about Pirate. That board is a hard core rock crawling tech board, and they hate it when people ask basic non rock crawling tech questions. Better have your flame proof suit on, I see they are roasting you already.

Oh dude yeah I wouldnt post on pirate unless you know pretty much what your talking about, did 10hrs of search time before posting, or just like getting made fun of. That board has a ton of info on it but really sucks when your a newbie.

Man, one of em said i cant buy anything because its more than 20 years old is this true? Im lookin for street legal headers, lifts, anything to make the steering better. Also any info on a buick v6 swap? Boy i sure hope i can buy aftermarket parts for this otherwise i just wasted some money.

As far as headers goes check out the two performance links I provided, they both sell headers for your motor. Lift, it really depends what you are going for, but i recommend All Pro springs for a nice soft ride and awesome flex. All Pro also makes a cross over steering set up for your truck as well, which will eliminate your bump steer problems. www.allprooffroad.com/I don't know too much about the engine swap so I'll let someone else field that one.

The exception would be engine stuff if yours has a 20R like I believe it does. I f you have a 22R there's no problem. You can improve your steering by installing cross-over steering, but if you plan on a suspension lift, do that first. What do you want to know about Buick 231 V6 swaps ? I can probably answer your questions.

Ok another noobie question, is there any kits or anything i can do to my truck to make it like a 4 runner? I just want to be able to take people along with me. I have a camper shell with seats in the back and seat belts but its not the same as a 4runner any ideas?
